Masculinity vs.Feminism

There are movements in the world,

Ones for slavery,

Genders, Water, Food and Life,

Rights have been fought for,

And against,

Our histories splattered with the inks of movements,

Wether revolutionary or not,

They prevail,

The movement for women’s rights,

The men’s rights have been outshadowed,

Not the Men’s Rights Movement,

But Masculinity,

What about the sterotypes surrounding teenagers in the media?

Buff Prince Charming,

Always rescuing the damesels,

But, who saves the guys?

Not all guys are buff, strong or manly…

Some are smart, ambitious, or skinny,

We have to realize that with Feminism comes Masculinity,

There are sterotypes just waiting to be smashed on the male side,

That the man has to care for the women,

That the man has to earn wages,

That boys don’t cry even in need,

That boys aren’t allowed to backdown,

And that they can’t play with dolls,

Nor the female-related items,

Lipstick is for all,

Whoever wants it,

Dolls are for all,

Art is for all,

Science is for all,

and both genders should be taken care of,

By the opposite side,

In media.

Life is harsh. Love is harsh. God makes it better. I've always loved to read, and daydream too. I love literary pairings in sounds and text, styles and images. My favourite book is 1984 by George Orwell.
